We have been to the Malaysian Food Street at Resorts World Sentosa twice. It is always a place that we look forward to. Love the old town ambience and the hawker fare. 🙂
There are loads of things that you can eat over here like Claypot Rice, Curry Noodles, Hokkien Mee… And the list goes on…
See how happy we are! All prepared to eat~~~
The old school posters and sign boards!
Surprisingly, every time we are at this food court, there will always be nice seats available for us. So lucky!
There is a very nice shop inside this foodcourt. It’s called the Fung Wong Confectionery. Heard that the crispy Char Siew Bao (香脆叉烧包), egg tarts (蛋塔)and wife biscuits (老婆饼)are nice.
Opening Hours: 11am – 9.30pm (Mon, Tue, Thu) Closed (Wed) 11am – 10.30pm (Fri – Sat) 11am – 9.30pm (Sun)
For a proper meal, the stall that I would highly recommend is Heun Kee Claypot Rice. Heard that the claypot rice is cooked using charcoal so that the flavors are more deeply infused to the rice. There is a 10 to 15 min waiting time but it is definitely worth the wait. It is not expensive too – only SGD$6 for a regular claypot rice! 🙂
Yum yum! The portion is quite big too!~~
Opening Hours: 11am – 9.30pm (Mon, Tue, Thu) Closed (Wed) 11am – 10.30pm (Fri – Sat) 11am – 9.30pm (Sun)
Next up, would be the Char Kway Teow! I just love to eat salty food. I’m the type who would prefer salted popcorns to sweet ones. ^^ A fried and oily dish like Char Kway Teow just blows me away. (Of course, I can’t eat it every day.) You can try the dish at Penang Lim Brothers’ Char Koay Teow.
Opening Hours: 11am – 9.30pm (Mon, Tue, Thu) Closed (Wed) 9am – 9pm (Fri – Sun)
Lastly, we bought Ice Kacang at desserts stall to counter the heaty food that we ate above. There is only one desserts stall, located right beside the drinks stall at a quiet corner. They do sell other desserts like Penang Cendol and Sweet Potato Soup too.
See, Jj is enjoying the claypot rice in the background while I have fast-forwarded to the dessert. 🙂
Opening Hours: 11am – 9.30pm (Mon, Tue, Thu) Closed (Wed) 11am – 10.30pm (Fri – Sat) 11am – 9.30pm (Sun)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Malaysian Food Street at Resorts World Sentosa
What’s so good: Old town ambience and yummy Malaysian food in a comfortable air-conditioned setting
What’s not so good: Some of the food prices are a bit steep but considering the ambience and all, it is pretty worth the price paid.
If you are keen to give it a try~
Add: Resorts World Sentosa, located beside Universal Studios Singapore
