First of all, I would really like to say that attending the Longines Singapore Gold Cup 2014 was such an eye-opening experience!
Dating back to 1924, the Singapore Gold Cup is one of the most prestigious horse racing events in Singapore. As I have done most of the introduction to the event in my previous post, I will be sharing more about what I have seen at the Singapore Turf Club during the day of the event. 🙂
The highlight of the event was the arrival of Taiwanese actor Eddie Peng aka Peng Yuyan, the new Longines ambassador. He looks ridiculously good wearing the Longines timepiece.
Longines Ambassador of Elegance, Eddie Peng together with the emcee of the event, Nikki Muller (Fly Entertainment artiste).
FYI, Aaron Kwok and Lin Chi Ling are also ambassadors of Longines. So lucky! Out of all the brands of watches out there, I really adore Longines’ designs. Their watches are simply elegant and timeless. Ultimately, Longines has more than 180 years of watch-making expertise, what more can you say? This is a timepiece that I really like. And yes, the Longines Singapore Gold Cup Day is also designated as the Annual Charity Race Day. This year, 25 beneficiaries will be receiving up to $1.5 million in donations.
Here’s a photo of Mr Yu Pang Fey, President & Chief Executive of Singapore Turf Club; President Tony Tan; Mr Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice-President & International Marketing Head of Longines and Eddie Peng presenting the cheque donation (for the amount raised on the race day) to the community chest. And finally, as a closure to the more than amazing event, we see the crowning of the winning horse, Quechua (The jockey is Mr Corey Brown).
Thank you Singapore Turf Club (Jessie and Dominic) for the invitation! ❤
