The Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is a theme park located in the Nantou County of Taiwan. We took a bus from Puli 埔里all the way to the theme park. The tickets cost only NTD55, which is like SGD2 plus. It is rather cheap considering that the journey is pretty long.
I really enjoy going to amusement parks and Jj doesnt mind it too! As long as it is not shopping, he wouldn’t complain that much. Hoho..
Anyway, this theme park is really very big. I did a research online and it spans 62 hectares! So do allocate sufficient time to ensure that you can enjoy all the rides and attractions in the place.🙂
Glad that we managed to spend one whole day over there. We had time to eat lunch, go on the different rides and take pictures at different parts of the theme park. We even watched the aboriginal shows and played their traditional games!
This is the main entrance. Looks like you are entering Disneyland.
This is the most daring ride in the entire theme park and we really tried it! Jj was pretty scared and I kept on encouraging him. The only thing I was worried about is that my ballet flats will fall off during the descent but it didn’t. If not, someone will get the experience of being knocked out by shoes.
I tried the more kiddy rides too!
After experiencing the rides, we went on to explore the cultural attractions of the theme park. This section is called the Aboriginal Village Park. It is the largest outdoor museum in Taiwan. It comprises of nine villages, each representing nine different aboriginal tribes.
They have cultural performances for visitors to sit and watch. If not, it will be pretty tiring walking the entire day!
Being adventurous, we joined in a tribal game. What we have to do is rather simple. We just have to use the spears to catch the ball.
This game suits those who can gauge distances and aim well. I am not that kind. Ended up laughing throughout the entire game.🙂
Even more performances along the way.
Overall, we really enjoyed the trip to 九族文化村. There are loads of things to see and play. It was worth the admission ticket. However, there were light showers when we were there. Best time to go will be in April where the weather is cooler and there isn’t that much rain going on.
Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village 【九族文化村】 in Taiwan
What’s so good: In my words, a very sincere theme park. There is a wide variety of things to see and play. A good place for photo taking too. There are also clear directions in the park as to where the different attractions are so you wouldn’t get lost in such a massive place. 很有诚意的主题乐园。游乐和观光设施都很齐全。
What’s not so good: We chose the wrong time to go as it was raining most of the time. Go between February to April when the weather is better.🙂 建议你2月到4月间到访九族文化村！
