第18届新加坡金曲奖 Singapore Hit Awards 2013

I am so happy to receive complimentary tickets to the 18th Singapore Hit Awards. It is my first time watching this LIVE and it got me so excited. This event is held on Friday, 22 November 2013, at 7.30pm at Suntec Convention Centre.

In case you don’t know what this event is about, it is an annual awards ceremony where talented people in the Chinese music industry across countries like China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore compete for titles like the Most Popular Band, Most Popular Female Singer etc.

As Jj is unable to make it, I went with my junior, Yanyu.

Even though we sat at the T zone, we had quite a good view of the stage due to the way the venue was designed.

And even though they said that photography and videography were not allowed, there were so many people just so busy snapping away. So, I did the same. :p Didn’t bring my DSLR cos I thought it wasn’t allowed so all photos are taken with my iPhone 5.

This was taken before the awards ceremony started.

Started off with a bang. Love Wilber Pan, 潘玮柏’s energy on stage. Of course, the highlight of that night is the fantastic light system. Too cool for Singapore’s concert standards. Good job!

And of course, everyone was so high when Captain Cool 张智霖was performing on stage. I guess they have all watched HK TVB drama Triumph in the Skies《冲上云霄》。I am not a fan of HK drama so I was pretty calm. Nonetheless, he really has the charisma!

The event ended really late at around 11.40pm. When artistes that I am not so familiar with were performing on stage, I do feel a bit restless. Hope the organisers could cut short the time for the entire awards ceremony in future. Lastly, here’s a photo taken before we left – Can tell that I am already pretty exhausted. It is not that easy for someone who is hyper-active to sit properly for more than 4 hours you know.

But as I have been busy filming these few weeks, this really provides me with a good break from work. And, I still have to say, I really love the lighting system! The experience at Suntec is totally different from what I saw on TV. Looking forward to attending other events soon!🙂
